Location
Laurentian West is a largely newer and popular subdivision in Kitchener’s west end, situated west of Westmount and just south of the expressway. Commuters benefit from easy access to the parkway via Trussler or Fischer Hallman, and public transit is well-served, with the LRT only two neighbourhoods away. The term “mostly newer” refers to the area west of Fischer Hallman. The eastern part of the neighbourhood, closer to Laurentian Hills, features modest bungalows, two-story homes, and side-splits from the 1970s and 1980s.
In contrast, the western section of Laurentian West, developed starting in the early 2000s, showcases more contemporary architecture. Here, you'll find a range of detached two-story homes, semis, and townhomes in various sizes and price points, including some high-end options near the Trussler end.
Amenities
Laurentian West is designed with modern family living in mind, offering numerous schools, green spaces, and recreational activities. As the area continues to develop, additional schools are planned. Popular local destinations include McLennan Park, Williamsburg, and the Sunrise Centre.
