Location
Originally established as a 19th-century village centered around a sawmill on Beaver Creek, Erbsville has evolved into a neighbourhood in Waterloo's northwest corner. Today, it draws young families charmed by its picturesque setting. Named after Samuel Erb, part owner of German Company Tract Lot 45 in the westernmost part of Waterloo Township, Erbsville originated as a small hamlet and developed into a thriving village.
In its prime, Erbsville was home to two blacksmiths, a general store with postal services, a carpenter’s shop, a cheese factory, and Baltzer Schnarr’s British Crown Inn.

The area’s most notable attraction, Erbsville Kartway, remains active today, offering exciting go-karting experiences for speed enthusiasts.
