The main part of Doon is characterized by homes built in the 1980s, while Lower Doon features newer construction properties. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the many parks and natural areas in Doon. The neighbourhood boasts plenty of walking and biking trails, making it easy to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Amenities

Public elementary school students in Doon will attend either Brigadoon, J.W. Gerth, Pioneer Park, or Groh, depending on their location within the neighbourhood. They will then attend Doon for grades 7 and 8 before moving on to Huron Heights for high school. Catholic school students will attend either St. Timothy or St. Kateri Tekakwitha for grades JK-8 before attending St. Mary's for high school.
