Location

The Cherry Hill neighbourhood in Kitchener is currently undergoing significant transformation. For more than a century, this area was known for its rubber industry, but today, only AirBoss remains, occupying a small part of the former tire plant. The tire warehouse has been repurposed into the ultra-hip Catalyst 137. The University of Waterloo’s School of Pharmacy is located in the southern part of Cherry Hill, with Google’s office right across the street.

Amenities

New condos are rising on Victoria and King streets, revitalizing many areas of Cherry Hill. Most housing in the area consists of two-story detached homes dating from the early 1920s onwards. The neighbourhood also features a mix of commercial properties, former industrial sites, and institutions like Grand River Hospital and KCI High School. Cherry Hill’s central location and immediate access to the LRT are major draws, with shopping and nightlife easily accessible. The expressway and Highway 7 are also nearby. The future of Cherry Hill is certainly promising.
